About Henk Cornelissen
Henk Cornelissen’s (1941) career began in the mid-1960s in the United States, where he began working at the leading studios at the time in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

In 1971 he returned to the Netherlands to teach at Academie St. Joost Breda, where he would remain until 2000. As a teacher and head of the graphic design department, he is a great influence for generations of students. He offers them both structure and freedom. His critical but honest work discussions leave a lasting impression. Henk settles as an independent designer in Breda and runs his own graphic and spatial design office for eight years from the mid-1970s.

After 1987, the year in which he creates an unusual stamp design, he retreats to his home studio to work on his graphic structures. He lets go of the security of working for clients and from then on is voluntarily at the mercy of what chance brings him.

This afternoon is a collaboration between [ZOO] productions, WHYNOTCOOPERATION and Graphic Matters.
